It’s no secret that Melbourne’s outer suburbs are experiencing massive population growth, resulting in congested roads, public transport and other amenities.
In particular, new medical facilities are a vital piece of infrastructure in these rapid growth communities; it means that local families don’t have to travel all the way in the Melbourne CBD to see doctors and specialists.
The 229 bed Casey Hospital in Berwick has been offering high-quality health services since it’s completion in 2004 and the Complete Rigging crew were proud to help out with this important project in conjunction with building industry leaders Watpac.
It was also our first multi-storey job, and presented a number of interesting challenges, including:
- limited access due to ground works
- a high number of angle connections due to the design
- a tight turnaround on site works
But, with over 30 years experience in the game, plus our passionate crew of riggers, dogmen, boiler makers and crane operators, we were able to deliver this project along with a healthy dose of 100% client satisfaction.
It’s great to think that our work not only helped deliver a much-needed health facility for Melbourne’s south east, but that thousands of locals were employed in the project, along with the hundreds of dedicated health professionals who now staff Casey Hospital.
